This Porsche 911S is another example of the simple and great liveries that appeared on race cars of private teams in the 1970s - simple and jet decorative and intriguing. For the sponsors on this Porsche the research was extensive. So far it seems most of the graphics are close to original. The color accent of the black hood adds a nice touch on the car and perfect display for the yellow sponsor bar running across the font, the Hart Ski lettering and the ESSO and number.

Slot Car Porsche 911 24h Le Mans 1970

This model of a Porsche 911S was created from the AFX Porsche Carrera, like the other 911S. All the 911S underwent modifications on the bumpers and the rear spoiler was removed. It is time consuming to make that many individual bodies. But it was intended to have unique cars with minor differences, just like you would have in real live. Removing the original paint, sanding, applying undercoat, sanding etc. is the standard procedure on all cars. Decals were printed by Decals Print on a thin and very flexible material and work really well, especially if some softener e.g. Micro Sol is used.
