Porsche 911 S Custom - 24h Le Mans 1970
You might have seen the iconic Porsche 911S with the number 277 by Magnus Walker. This car became his trademark and is well known amongst Porsche enthusiast. The design with colour accents on the bumpers, the red hood with numbers and sponsors represents a time, when teams would enter cars with the similar look and feel to the main races, like the 24h of Le Mans 1970. Growing up during that period, the taste for those graphics stayed with me. After the first attempts converting the AFX Carrera to a 911 S, the idea grew to make several other Porsche 911 entries of the 24h Le Mans 1970.
Porsche 911 S Jean-Pierre Gaban #43 VIP
The first in a series of Porsche 911S from the 24h at Le Mans is the Porsche 911 #43 entered by Jean-Pierre Gaban and driven by Jean-Pierre Gaban (B) / Willy Braillard (B), sponsored by VIP. Never found out what or who VIP was or is. The car retired with a broken gearbox.
