The Rey Racing Porsche 911 S is another example of the cool looking entries of the 24h Le Mans 1970. This car has been made into a Slot Car occasionally in larger Scale, but not in h0. The body was customized from an AFX Porsche Carrera, like the other 911 S I have made so far. These are not resin casted. Each one was made individually. The modifications might not be obvious. Maybe the lack of the rear spoiler is the most significant alteration. The front and the rear bumper were reshaped. All the paint had been striped prior to the modifications. Filler and primer added. Two tone paint added. Decals are customized applied. And clear coated.

The coat of arms on the doors was extremely difficult to identify. The version in use is still an interpretation on some diffuse images fond on the internet. These days we would like to know the exact color code for the paint. At the time the teams might not have bothered to much about color codes. This little race car is only an interpretation of what was retrieved from different sources. A nice little runner on a AFX Magnatraction with Turbine Wheels on the back and RRR Steels with Custom FX Fuchs Inserts on the front.
